Two Small Earthquakes Hit Santa Clara County Monday Morning

One near Morgan Hill, and the other near Saratoga. Did you feel them?

Two small earthquakes have struck in Santa Clara County this morning, according to the U.S. Geological Survey.

The first quake at 2.7-magnitude was reported at 8:47 a.m. and was centered 9 miles north of Morgan Hill and 15 miles east-southeast of San Jose, USGS officials said.

Then at 9:27 a.m., 40 minutes later, a 2.9-magnitude temblor struck a mile north-northeast of Monte Sereno and 2 miles east of Saratoga, according to the USGS.
