Video: Miller, Cappello Sworn In As Councilmembers

Incumbent leaders officially begin their four-year terms.

Saratoga Councilmembers Howard Miller and Manny Cappello were sworn in Wednesday evening to their new four-year terms during a ceremony at the civic theatre.

The two officials ran for re-election on Nov. 6, being challenged by newcomer Tim Gorsulowsky, who participated as a write-in candidate. He's said to have only received 26 votes.

The oaths of office were administered by city clerk Crystal Bothelio. Both leaders had family with them to support them as they pledged to work hard to make the city the best possible place to live for its about 30,000 residents.

Miller received a total of 9,679 votes, or 54.33 percent and Cappello earned 8,136 votes, or 45.67 percent.
