Video: Saratoga Voters Talk Election

One of the city's polling inspectors is Bill Cooper, co-owner of Cooper-Garrod Estate Vineyards.

Bill Cooper, the polling inspector for Saratoga's precinct 4702, said Tuesday afternoon the election had gone smoothly with a few people coming early, between 7 and 8 a.m. and slowing down mid day with more traffic coming in after 5 p.m.

A total of 100 voters had cast their ballot in the several booths set up inside the Santa Clara County Fire Station on Cox Avenue, and more than 100 dropped off their ballots.

Saratoga voters Thi Nguyen and Carol Carrillo said they had voted for President Barack Obama. And Saratoga High School student Jacqueline Gu, 16, was a poll volunteer worker.
