West Valley College Choirs Performs
with Los Gatos High School Chamber Choir at the Los Gatos United Methodist Church

The West Valley College Choirs will present their annual Sounds of the Season concert on Friday, December 12th at 8:00 pm. The West Valley College Chamber Singers and College Chorale, directed by Lou De La Rosa, will be joined by the Los Gatos High School Chamber Choir, directed by Ma. Ricel Riley.
This eclectic concert of holiday music will include excerpts from JS Bach’s Christmas Oratorio and Ralph Vaughan Williams’ Mass in G minor in addition to familiar and not-so-familiar carols. The choirs will sing a cappella, and with accompaniment by piano, organ, guitar and harp. Start off your holiday season’s celebration by spending an evening listening to the Sounds of the Season!
The performance will take place in the Los Gatos United Methodist Church next to the Los Gatos High School and tickets are selling at $15 for General Admission and $10 for students and senior citizens. Lou De La Rosa, Director of Choral and Vocal Studies at West Valley College, has taught music in San Jose for 29 years. He received his BA Music in Voice and MA Music in Choral Conducting from San Jose State University.

Ma. Ricel Riley has been teaching vocal and choral music for 22 years. She earned her Bachelor in Education in Music, P.E., and Health, graduating cum laude in 1991 from the University of San Agustin, Philippines.
