What to Expect from Tonight's Saratoga Union School Board Meeting

Policies related to student wellness, positive school climante, conflict resolution/peer mediation and suicide prevention will be discussed.

Saratoga Union School District trustees meet at 7 p.m. tonight, Tuesday, March 19 at the agency's office conference room, 20460 Forrest Hills Dr., to discuss the following:

  • Director of Educational Services Diane Smalley will present information on the first annual districtwide Student-to-Student Conference.
  • Director of Facilities and Maintenance Jerry Peth will present information on the multipurpose room flooring project at Redwood Middle School.
  • The board will review and discuss policies relating to student wellness, positive school climate, conflict resolution/peer mediation and suicide prevention.
  • Director of Educational Services Diane Smalley will update the board on items in relation to districtwide curriculum, instruction and assessment.
  • Superintendent Lane Weiss and Chief Business Officer Rosanna Jeng will update the board on state and district budget items.
  • The board will review the authorization and approval of borrowing funds for fiscal year 2013-14; the issuance and sale of a 2013-14 Tax and Revenue Anticipation Note (TRAN) and participation in the California Education Notes Program not to exceed $5,000,000.
