âą 30 minutes from SF: California's 'Italian Riviera' is hosting a 3-day marine festival this weekend with luxury yachts and harbor views (secretsanfrancisco.com) â Sausalito is gearing up to host the Sausalito Boat Show at Clipper Yacht Harbor from Friday, Sept. 25 through Sunday, Sept. 27, bringing luxury yachts, electric boats, lessons, and family activities just minutes from downtown. Expect live music, veterans' tributes, kids' games, marine-career programs, and local food vendors, plus a dunk tank supporting Sausalito Marin City Little League.

âą Anchors Away: Richardson Bay's Last Anchor-Outs (pacificsun.com) â Longtime liveaboard residents anchored off Sausalito are being forced to leave Richardson Bay under a regional settlement, ending a decadesâold anchorâout community. Locals like 75âyearâold Richard Ashlock now face tough choices between unaffordable marinas, risky waters outside the anchorage, or scarce jobs such as a possible berthâlinked role at the Sausalito Community Boating Center.

âą Boat In Danger Under Golden Gate Bridge (thesfnews.com) â Emergency crews, including the Sausalito Fire boat Liberty, helped rescue three people after their vessel struck rocks and began capsizing beneath the Golden Gate Bridge, leaving all with lifeâthreatening injuries. One passenger later died despite responders' efforts, and San Francisco police investigators are still examining what caused the earlyâmorning crash.
