Rebecca Dalelio, 43, was charged with assault on a public official and vandalism after allegedly throwing a blood of menstrual blood.
SACRAMENTO, CA — A woman from Boulder Creek in Santa Cruz County has been charged with two felony counts related to assaulting a public official and vandalism, the San Francisco Chronicle reported. Each charge carries a possible yearlong jail sentence.
The charges were filed by the Sacramento County District Attorney's Office.
The charges stem from a Sept. 13 incident at the state Capitol in which Rebecca Dalelio, 43, allegedly lobbed a menstrual cup onto the Senate floor. Six senators were hit by the blood or cup and platters hit their desks and carpeting, the Chronicle reported.
