SCOTTS VALLEY, CA — Active shooter training for East Bay law enforcement and fire personnel will take place at Scotts Valley High School next week, police are advising. The event begins Monday June 24 and runs through Friday June 28, according to the Scotts Valley Police Department. All training will take place during daytime hours.
"Please be aware this will be for training purposes only and not an actual emergency," police said.
During the training, personnel from across the East Bay region will be using non-lethal ammunition and distraction devices, and volunteers will role play to give each scenario a realistic feel, according to Scotts Valley police.
