• Scotts Valley Kiwanis helps Valley Churches keep food fresh with new fridge (pressbanner.com) — Scotts Valley Kiwanis has funded a new commercial refrigerator for Valley Churches United, allowing the local food pantry to safely store more eggs, milk, cheese and produce for area families. The club, which also supports Scotts Valley Unified School District programs, is deepening its partnership with the pantry as community food needs rise and traditional supplies tighten.
   

• MVC shuts down Pacific Grove, moves to 3-0 (santacruzsentinel.com) — Local football fans can watch Scotts Valley High face Stevenson at Harbor High on Saturday at 7:30 p.m., part of a busy week of regional prep games. Monte Vista Christian improved to 3-0 with a gritty 14-7 win at Pacific Grove, while St. Francis edged Everett Alvarez in double overtime to secure its first victory.
