During this Easter season, I reflect on God’s love for mankind and a few of my favorite Bible passages. On Good Friday, I’m reminded that The Lamb of God died on a Cross for my sins. As tragic as that was, I’m encouraged when I read Luke 24:6, “He is not here, but He has risen…” Jesus defeated death and is seated in Heaven at the right-hand of God. What a blessing to be forgiven and have the freedom to pray any time; night or day.
When I’m troubled by life’s challenges, I lean on Jeremiah 29:11 – “For I know the plans I have for you; plans for good, not to harm you; to give you a hope and a future.” Although, I don’t always understand why I encounter certain trials, it helps to know that God has a purpose and plan for me. I’m confident He works all things out for good. As a result of perseverance, I grow stronger and my character is developed.
Perhaps you too are struggling with life’s pressures. My hope is that you find comfort in Apostle Paul’s words in Philippians 4:13 – “I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.”
