Ode to Mom

Thank you Mom for all you do.

You walked with me. You talked with me.

When I was young, you tied my shoe.

Thank you Mom for all that you’ve done for me.

You cooked. You cleaned.

When I fell, you bandaged my knee.

Thank you Mom for the role you’ve played.

You laughed with me. You cried for me.

We built memories I wouldn’t dare trade.

Thank you Mom for who you are.

You cared for me. You shared with me.

You told me I’d go far.

Thank you Mom for all the wonderful years.

You protected me. You prayed for me.

You wiped my tears.

Now, I have children of my own.

You enriched my life in many ways.

I hope to be as good of a Mom until they’re grown.

Mom, for all this and so much more, I’m forever grateful to thee.

Most of all, I’m thankful for the love you gave to me.
