Fundraiser For Brave Boulder Creek Boy Battling Cancer
The Scotts Valley Peace Officers Association is rallying to help the boy and his family.

BOULDER CREEK, CA — A young Boulder Creek boy is fighting for his life after doctors discovered a large tumor in his neck. Jaxson Smith, 3, is being treated at Stanford Children’s Hospital for his cancer and is enduring radiation and chemotherapy, according to a GoFundMe page established by the Scotts Valley Peace Officers Association.
Jaxson’s dad, a military veteran who works at Central Home Supply in Scotts Valley, is also recovering from surgery needed for an injury he suffered while serving. The police union is asking the community and local businesses to donate and help the family with costs associated with the cancer treatment.
A fundraiser will also be held between 3 p.m. and 6 p.m. on Saturday at the Central Home Supply. The event will feature music, food, drinks and an auction and the proceeds will benefit the Smith family. Click here to donate.
