Burglars Steal Tools, Keys From Scotts Valley Middle School
A middle school in Scotts Valley was burglarized sometime between last Friday evening and Monday morning. Several items were stolen.

SCOTTS VALLEY - A middle school in Scotts Valley was burglarized sometime between last Friday evening and Monday morning with several items stolen from a shed, according to police.
Police said around 6:30 a.m. Monday, school officials at Scotts Valley Middle School, located at 8 Bean Creek Road, discovered a maintenance shed had been forced open.
According to police, a large quantity of valuable tools and maintenance shop equipment had been stolen as well as a set of keys.

The Scotts Valley Unified School District will be forced to re-key several buildings on multiple campuses due to the theft of the keys, police said.
The Scotts Valley School District is still working to determine the total loss value.
