Car Hitting Curb Leads To Probationers' Arrest For Drugs: Police
Police responding to the traffic infraction in Scotts Valley stumbled on counterfeit bills, meth and heroin, officials said.
SCOTTS VALLEY, CA – Two individuals, on probation, were arrested last week on numerous drug charges after police pulled over their vehicle in Scotts Valley for traffic infractions, according to authorities.
Scotts Valley Police Department officers stopped the suspects' car Dec. 28 after its driver was spotted failing to stay in a lane and striking a curb, the agency said. Two occupants were found to be on probation for various narcotics offenses which led to a vehicle search that reportedly yielded "a large quantity" of methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia, plus a digital scale and packaging materials, police said.
"The driver was found to be in possession of heroin and multiple counterfeit $100 bills," the department said, adding that, "Additionally, items consistent with burglary tools were located such as slim-jims and bolt cutters."

The two individuals, who were not identified by police, were booked in jail for suspected possession/transport of methamphetamine for sale, possession of heroin, possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of counterfeit currency, possession of burglary tools, violation of a court order, and with one found to have a warrant issued from another county, police said.
