Chamber to Host Taste of Scotts Valley

If you can’t wait for the 13^th annual Scotts Valley Art & Wine Festival in Skypark on Aug. 11-12, you’re in luck. The Scotts Valley Chamber of Commerce will host the Taste of Scotts Valley Art & Wine Kickoff party on Thursday to whet your appetite and introduce you to some of the local artists who will be featured at this year’s festival.

The event is from 6-8 p.m. at the Scotts Valley Hilton, 6001 La Madrona Dr., and will include food samplings from local restaurants and wine tastings from the festival wineries. Guest will also have a chance to preview the works of the talented local artists participating in this year's festival.

Local artist Sharon Medler, who is this year’s event poster contest winner, will also be on hand to give a first look at the 2012 poster and personalize copies for guests.

Tickets for the event are $35 and include a 2012 festival wine glass, food and wine tastings. They can be purchased at the door on the night of the event. For more information, call the Chamber at 831-438-1010.
