Dead Owl Discovered In Stolen Car, Scotts Valley Police Say
Police said a Goleta woman was driving the car when they made the gruesome discovery during a traffic stop.
SCOTTS VALLEY, CA — A Goleta woman allegedly driving a stolen car with a dead owl inside was arrested in Scotts Valley last weekend, police officials said. The driver, later identified as Christen Aceves, was driving a car stolen earlier in the day from Santa Barbara when officers stopped her.
Police said she was found to be in possession of stolen credit cards, property and a dead owl. Aceves was arrested on suspicion of possessing a stolen vehicle, fraudulent use of a credit card, and possession of a deceased bird of prey and was booked into jail.
