Get Out: Your Guide to the Weekend

Be sure and mark these event on your weekend planner.

Where/When: Olivet Community Theater, 800 Bethany Dr. Friday, 7:30 p.m., Saturday, 3 and 7:30 p.m. and Sunday, 3 p.m.

What: Christian Youth Theater, an after-school theater arts training program for students ages 4-18, will be putting on its production of The Adventures of Tom Sawyer. Mark Twain’s classic story of the young Tom Sawyer comes to life in this Broadway musical version and will be fun for all ages.

Redwood Mountain Faire

Where/When: Roaring Camp Railroad, 5401 Graham Hill Rd, Felton. Saturday and Sunday, 11 a.m.–7 p.m.

What: This all day family event, organized by the Valley Women's Club of the San Lorenzo Valley, is one not to be missed. The faire will include music from 11 different bands on two different stages each day, arts, crafts, food and local beer and wine. The event was started by the Valley Women’s Club in the early 1980s as a way to feature local artists and musicians and to raise money for local non-profit and service organizations.

Price: Adult advance tickets are $18 for one or $30 for two, and $20 at the door. Student and senior advance tickets are $13 for one or $25 for two, and $15 at the door.

Eighth Annual Woof to Woof

Where/When: Skypark, 361 Kings Village Dr. Saturday, 10 a.m.-3 p.m.

What: The Vista Center for the Blind and Visually Impaired is hosting this fun annual event for people and their pooches. The event will include pet parades–Best Costume, Best Doggie Hair, Puppies and Biggest & Littlest Dogs. There will be contests with prizes for Best Smile, Best Bling and Tricks for Treats. Vendors will also be in the park with booths showcasing art, pet services and pet products. If you have a furry friend, bring them along to enjoy in the fun.

‘In My Life’ Gallery Exhibition

Where/When: Santa Cruz Mountains Art Center, 9341 Mill St., Ben Lomond. Now through June 23. Wednesdays-Sundays, noon-6 p.m.

What: Over 30 local artists will be showcased in the Art Center’s newest exhibit featuring a diverse array of work depicting “In My Life,” a celebration of life.
