‘The Adventures of Tom Sawyer’ at Olivet University
Where/When: Olivet Community Theater, 800 Bethany Dr. Friday, 7:30 p.m., Saturday, 3 and 7:30 p.m. and Sunday, 3 p.m.
What: Christian Youth Theater, an after-school theater arts training program for students ages 4-18, will be putting on its production of The Adventures of Tom Sawyer. Mark Twain’s classic story of the young Tom Sawyer comes to life in this Broadway musical version and will be fun for all ages.

Karaoke with Ken
Where/When: , 4402 Scotts Valley Dr. Saturday, 9 p.m.
What: Are you looking to release your inner rock star? Well, head to Malone’s ever Saturday night and belt out your favorite tune. The bar hosts Karaoke with Ken every week with a large variety of songs to choose from. Hear some tunes and scout out the local talent at this fun event.
Price: There is no cover charge, and food and drinks are available at various prices.
Civil War Re-enactment
Where/When: Roaring Camp Railroads, 5401 Graham Hill Rd., Felton. Saturday, Sunday and Monday, 11 a.m.
What: This will be the 31st time Civil War battles are "fought" on the grounds of Roaring Camp Railroads. Authentic Union and Confederate encampments will also be constructed, giving 21st century time-travelers a sense of what life was like for American soldiers in the mid-1800s. Cannons and gunfire will go off during the battles, so pets are discouraged from attending.
Price: $5. Show wristbands for a $2 discount on train rides.
Memorial Day Event
Where/When: Corner of Front Street and Pacific Avenue. Monday, 10 a.m.
What: Honor the country's fallen at this mid-morning event hosted by local veterans. The community is invited to take part in a veterans' sing-along, sign a time capsule that will be buried beneath the Veterans Memorial Building and enjoy belly dancing and Indian dance performances.
