Lewd Conduct In Scotts Valley Stores Brings Arrest

SCOTTS VALLEY - Police in Scotts Valley on Thursday arrested a man in connection with a lewd conduct incident inside a Kmart and a Dollar Tree.

Ben Anthony Kinderski, of Los Gatos Mountains, was arrested on suspicion of lewd conduct in public and on two outstanding arrest warrants, police said.

Officers responded Thursday at 5:15 p.m. to the Scotts Valley Square shopping center on a report of a man masturbating inside the Kmart and the Dollar Tree stores.

A witness told police he saw the man, later identified as Kinderski, masturbating inside the Kmart.

The witness said he followed the man into the Dollar Tree and saw him masturbate inside that store while looking at a woman, police said.

Police said Kinderski admitted to being inside both stores and admitted to scratching himself but denied masturbating.

Kinderski was arrested and booked into the Santa Cruz County Jail.
