Many Expected to Say 'I Do' on 11-12-13

Many Bay Area couples are planning on tying the knot on 11-12-13 this Tuesday, which is the penultimate date of this century with consecutive numbers.
           
In Santa Cruz, the county clerk's office is holding wedding ceremonies every half hour from 9:30 a.m. to 5 p.m.
           
"There is magic in the numbers," County Clerk Gail Pellerin said.
           
According to Pellerin, there are usually about three ceremonies each day at the Santa Cruz office at 701 Ocean St., but there will be 13 slots available for the unique day.
           
Already 10 of the 13 openings have been filled. One couple requested the 10 a.m. slot to keep with the consecutive number theme, she said.
           
"Numbers have certain meaning to people," Pellerin said. "When they are picking that date, they want a date that is special based on the number alone."
           
In San Francisco, the opportunity to wed on Tuesday has already been booked and has been for some time, a clerk employee said.
           
The employee said the office performs 36 weddings on an average day.
           
The next date with consecutive numbers is 12-13-14 next December.

However, that date falls on a Saturday when county offices are usually closed.
