Mobile Pizzeria Finds Brick-and-Mortar Home

A new pizzeria opened in Scotts Valley this week.

Wood Fired Woodie replaces the former Falafel of Scotts Valley at 3105 B Scotts Valley Dr.

The pizzeria started as a mobile catering operation in 2007, baking wood-fired pizza in a custom-built surfmobile. Wood Fired Woodie's makes dough fresh daily and stretches it by hand, and sources local ingredients for its pizzas, according to its Facebook page.

The Santa Cruz Sentinel reported that Woodie's new brick-and-mortar location served up its first pizza pie Tuesday evening.
