MORE On Thursday's Officer-Involved Fatal Shooting In Boulder Creek
The victim reportedly emerged from the home carrying a rifle and a shotgun, law enforcement said.

An allegedly armed man who was shot by deputies in Boulder Creek late Thursday night succumbed to his injuries early this morning, a Santa Cruz County sheriff’s spokesman said.
Around 10:30 p.m. Thursday, deputies responded to a reported family dispute at a home in the 15000 block of Fern Flat Road, sheriff’s Lt. Kelly Kent said. Deputies arrived and met with residents of the home, who reported a man who lived there was inside breaking furniture, Kent said.
About 45 minutes later, the man emerged from the home carrying a rifle and a shotgun, prompting two deputies to shoot at him, according to Kent. The man was injured and airlifted to a San Jose trauma center where he was pronounced dead shortly before 4:30 a.m. today, Kent said. The deputies were not injured in the shooting, the spokesman said.
