POLL: What Are Your Thoughts on a Parcel Tax?
Board of Trustees wants to hear from community on possible parcel tax.

With the Scotts Valley Unified School District facing a significant budget shortfall in the coming years, the Board of Trustees has put the possibility of an educational parcel tax back on the table.
The Board is currently through community meetings.
The Board had considered a parcel tax last year but after hiring the firm on its openness to the tax, the Baord was advised to wait and do more public outreach.

That outreach will include two community meetings in the coming weeks. The first is on Oct. 20, 6:30-8 p.m., at , 245 Mt. Hermon Rd. The second meeting is on Nov. 3, 6:30-8 p.m., at the , 360 Kings Village Dr. For more information, call 831-438-1820.
