Parent Club to Host SVHS Winery Fundraiser

The Parent Club is hosting an afternoon of “Wine and the Spoken Word,” a fundraiser for the school’s English Department at on March 29.

The event will include wine tasting with light food offerings, music, student performances and displays of literature and poetry, visits with English Department teachers and a winery tour.

Sixty percent of ticket sales and 30 percent of wine sales will go to the school to be used to purchase classroom storage and library books.

For those that can’t attend but would still like to help out, Bargetto is donating money from online wine sales as well. Through March 30, go to www.bargetto.com and order your wine there using the SVHS special code, “gofalcons.”

“Wine and the Spoken Word” is on March 29 from 4 to 6 p.m. at Bargetto Winery, 3535 North Main St., Soquel. Tickets are $12 and are available at the SVHS office or by contacting Michael Rein at mike@reinlaw.net or 831-440-9835.
