Pasta Palooza to Raise Funds for the Middle School

SVMS PTA is hosting an all-you-can-eat pasta party fundraiser.

What is better than all-you-can-eat pasta from Scotts Valley’s Santa Cruz Pasta Factory? Well, maybe being able to help out a local school while indulging in the deliciousness.

On Saturday, Oct. 29, the PTA is hosting Pasta Palooza, a fundraiser and family event to raise much needed funds for the school.

“We are hoping to raise enough to get an art and music program at the school,” said event coordinator Mary Ann Ransler. “Art and music is so underfunded. We hope to make enough to bring in that curriculum.”

Ransler said PTA fundraising events like the Pasta Palooza are so important because there are so many things that the school district just doesn’t have funds for anymore. The Pasta Palooza is just one of the many ways the PTA raises money for the school.

“It helps to supply a well-rounded education for our kids,” Ransler said. “If parents don’t step up, our kids just don’t get.”
