Redwood Valley 4-H Club Awards at County Fair

Visit the October 4-H club meeting

Scotts Valley 4-H Club and Felton 4-H Club merged to create the new Redwood Valley 4-H club this year. This new club participated in many areas of the Santa Cruz County Fair. Every year each local 4-H Club builds a fair booth representing the fair theme and displays youth department entries in the Crosetti Building. This year the Redwood Valley 4-H Club built a “Bounty of the County” themed booth showing the Youth Fine Arts entries like paintings and drawings. Santa Cruz County 4-H members judge the booths. Redwood Valley 4-H won a second place ribbon. 4-H members also work shifts at the Clover Deli during fair time which is a snack shack serving favorites like burgers and milk shakes. The money raised goes to support the county 4-H program. 4-H members participated in fair activities ranging from project entries to floral arranging to animal showmanship. Kids 5-18 years old can join 4-H, make things in projects, and show them in next year’s county fair! Redwood Valley 4-H Club meets the second Sunday of each month 4:00pm at The Boys & Girls Club of SV, 5060 Scotts Valley Drive in Scotts Valley.
