Robbery Suspect Disguised As Pokémon Go Character Caught With Cash In Hand, Police Say
BREAKING: Police said when the clerk saw the suspect clad in a Pokémon Go mask and motorcycle helmet he fled the building.
SANTA CRUZ COUNTY, CA — A man clad in a Pokémon Go Charmander mask and motorcycle mask suspected of trying to rob a Scotts Valley convenience store was arrested early Monday morning, police officials said. According to police, his unique choice of disguise alarmed the Quik Stop store clerk, who ran from the business. The suspect was found standing behind the cash register with cash in his hand when officers entered the store.
The suspect, whose name was not released, was arrested and booked into the Santa Cruz County Jail. No other information was available.
