Fire Causes $20K In Damages To Windmill Restaurant
BREAKING: No injuries reported in the blaze in Soledad.

MONTEREY COUNTY, CA – Soledad restaurant temporarily closed after a fire Thursday morning caused about $20,000 in damage, according to fire officials.
At 9:57 a.m., firefighters with the Soledad Fire Department and Cal Fire responded to the Windmill Restaurant at 1167 Front St., fire officials said.
Upon arrival, firefighters saw smoke and flames coming from the building.

With help from Cal Fire and neighboring fire departments, firefighters were able to contain the fire to a storage room, preventing it from spreading through the entire restaurant, according to fire officials.
By about 11:15 a.m., the blaze had been completely extinguished. No injuries were reported, fire officials said.

Following the incident, the restaurant was closed for cleaning and inspection, according to fire officials.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
The eatery, however, appears to be open for business as the restaurant's Facebook page invites customers to stop in and enjoy meals.
