School District to Hold Public Meeting on Parcel Tax

Trustees would like input from community members before finalizing the resolution language.

The Board of Trustees is holding a public meeting on March 9 to get input from the community on the educational parcel tax that will be placed on the June primary ballot.

In January, the Board after nearly two years of discussion. The district will ask voters to support a parcel tax of $48 for a period of three years. Seniors and the disabled will be exempt from the tax.

Trustees are still trying to hammer out the final draft language for the resolution and are hoping to hear from members of the community on their thoughts and concerns on the tax.

The meeting will be on March 9 at 9 a.m. at the Scotts Valley City Council Chambers, One Civic Center Dr.
