School And Power Outage Update Oct. 27

From the Scotts Valley Unified School District:

Hello Scotts Valley Parent Community,

I wanted to provide you an update and let you know that Scotts Valley USD still plans to hold school tomorrow Monday, Oct. 28. We have generators that will allow us to have phones and we are able to utilize restrooms, but we won’t have overhead lights or heat at three sites. Please have students dress in preparation for those conditions. We will have generators at the three schools that are affected, Scotts Valley High School, Vine Hill Elementary and Brook Knoll Elementary. We acknowledge that a few other districts will have to close based on their sanitation systems and access challenges. We will continue to assess the situation day by day.

Our heartfelt sympathies to those being affected by the fires throughout our state.
