Scotts Valley Unified School District welcomes new families and is accepting registration (including interdistrict transfers) for all schools beginning January 27, 2020. Our award-winning schools offer high standards of performance and recognition programs for student effort and achievement. With the support of our school community and the commitment from all staff members, Scotts Valley schools continue to be some of the highest performing schools in the county. Scotts Valley Middle School (SVMS) welcomes students to a brand new campus and increased electives, Scotts Valley High School (SVHS) offers the International Baccalaureate program as well as an alternative academy, K Street, for juniors and seniors, and Brook Knoll and Vine Hill Elementary Schools offer full-day Kindergarten and ½ day Transitional Kindergarten.

Children must be five years old on or before September 1, 2020, to be eligible to register for Kindergarten. Children qualify for Transitional Kindergarten if their fifth birthday falls between Sept. 2 and Dec. 2, 2015. Transitional Kindergarten follows a traditional half day scheduled with staggered start and end times. Registration packets may be picked up at each school office from 9:00-3:00, Monday through Friday. Please bring your student’s birth certificate, immunization records and proof of residency.

There are Shadow Days offered at SVMS (February 19 and May 13) and SVHS (March 23 and April 27), where students can “follow” a current student for the day, and the elementary schools offer school tours. SVHS invites you to their Expo/Open House on February 26. Open Houses occur in the Spring for Brook Knoll, Vine Hill, and SVMS.
