Search on for Missing Watsonville High School Student
Dana Batalla Linares, who is also known as Dana Torres, was last sighted near the Target store in Watsonville around 5:30 p.m. Thursday.
The Santa Cruz County Sheriff’s Office on Monday was asking for the public’s help in locating an 18-year-old Watsonville woman missing since last week.
Dana Batalla Linares, who is also known as Dana Torres, was last sighted near the Target store at 1415 Main St. in Watsonville around 5:30 p.m. Thursday, sheriff’s Lt. Kelly Kent said.
Video surveillance from the store showed her walking toward Ramsay Park, Kent said. Linares hasn’t been seen by her mother since Thursday and she sent an e-mail to a friend on Friday, sheriff’s officials said.

She is a student at Pajaro Valley High School in Watsonville, according to sheriff’s officials.
Linares is described as a Hispanic woman standing 5 feet 8 inches tall and about 220 pounds with black hair and brown eyes, sheriff’s officials said.
