Students Invited To Free Youth In Action Summit 2018

The summit promotes youth engagement in the community and job readiness.

From Santa Cruz County: Santa Cruz County Friday Night Live Partnership (FNL) invites youth grades 7-12 to a FREE, three-day Youth in Action Summit June 19th, 20th, and 21st, from 9:00am to 4:00pm at Roaring Camp Railroads, 5401 Graham Hill Road, Felton, CA, 95018.

The summit promotes youth engagement in the community and job readiness. Earn community service hours, make friends, and have fun. Participants are eligible to build job skills through a summer internship with a monetary stipend, with the County of Santa Cruz, Friday Night Live Partnership.

Through peer lead games, arts and crafts, and interactive activities, youth identify what they value, discover their unique leadership style, create a resume, learn how to solve community problems, and share their voice on community issues that impact them.

Lunch, snacks, and beverages will be provided each day and limited transportation is available. Space is limited, and registration is required.

The Youth in Action Summit is developed and led by the Santa Cruz County Friday Night Live Youth Council. Friday Night Live builds partnerships to promote positive, healthy youth development, and engages youth as active leaders and resources in their communities.
