Suspected Car Thief Nabbed In Scotts Valley With Assistance Of K-9 Officer Atlas
The 19-year-old from San Jose was wanted on felony warrants, police said.

SANTA CRUZ COUNTY, CA – A San Jose man was arrested in Scotts Valley on Thursday in connection with a stolen vehicle, police said.
Fabian Rodriguez, 19, was arrested on suspicion of possession of a stolen vehicle and on outstanding warrants, according to the Scotts Valley Police Department.
On Thursday at 11:40 p.m., officers responded to the 4600 block of Scotts Valley Drive on a report of a stolen vehicle that had been located.

Police said the vehicle was originally stolen from San Jose by an acquaintance of the registered owner.
Police said the suspect, identified as Rodriguez, was believed to be possibly armed and had two outstanding felony warrants for his arrest.

As officers were processing the vehicle for evidence, Rodriguez approached the officers.
Officers deployed K-9 Atlas as a show of force, and the suspect was taken into custody without injury or incident, police said.
Police said the keys to the vehicle were found in Rodriguez's possession.
