Suspected Drunk Driver Knocks Out Power To Traffic Light

BREAKING: Motorists advised to carefully maneuver through the Scotts Valley intersection until repairs are made, police said.

SCOTTS VALLEY, CA – A suspected drunk driver over the weekend crashed into a traffic signal box at a Scotts Valley intersection, according to police.

The signal light at Scotts Valley Drive and Bean Creek is expected to be out of service for the next couple days, and the Scotts Valley Police Department reminds motorist to treat the intersection as "a stop sign."

The driver, who allegedly was over twice the legal limit, was not injured in the crash, police said.
