Volunteer/Paid Call Firefighters Sought For Scotts Valley

SCOTTS VALLEY, CA — The Scotts Valley Fire Protection District is taking applications for its Volunteer/Paid Call Firefighter Program to supplement its regular career firefighters on emergency incidents and in community service activities.

Volunteers must meet specific entrance requirements and participate in a selection/testing process. Open recruitment occurs annually in July/August followed with interviews in the early fall for qualified candidates.

For those selected to participate in the program, upon successful completion they are promoted to Paid Call Firefighter.
