Weekend Crash On Hwy 1 Kills One, Injures Two In Santa Cruz County
The accident closed a stretch of the roadway Saturday.
At least one died Saturday afternoon in a traffic collision on southbound state Highway 1 north of Soquel Drive in Santa Cruz County, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The first report of the collision came in just before 5 p.m., a dispatcher said.
One report said at least two people suffered injuries and at least one lane of the highway was closed until about 7:30 p.m., according to the CHP Monterey Communications Center.
