- The council will consider deferring impact fees for the Holiday Inn Express project that was approved for Scotts Valley Drive. If approved, the fees would be deferred for five years then repaid over the next five years. The council will also consider applying for a Community Development Block Grant of approximately $1,200,000 through the State Housing and Community Development Department. The federal grant to the city would then be loaned to the developer.
- The council will discuss approving a minor land division of a parcel at 4654 Scotts Valley Drive. The site is currently zoned Commercial Service and is currently vacant. The applicant would like to subdivide the lot into two parcels, one an 18,500-square-foot area and the other a 17,000-square-foot area. A new 1,856-square-foot commercial building with a 5,500-square-foot equipment storage yard is proposed for one of the parcels.
- The council will discuss approving an implementing agreement with the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service for the Sandhills Interim Programmatic Habitat Conservation Plan, which would allow property owners in the environmentally sensitive sandhills habitat to develop their property in compliance with the Federal Endangered Species Act.
