What to Expect From Tonight's School Board Meeting

The Scotts Valley Unified School District Board of Trustees will meet at 6 p.m. at the City Council Chambers, One Civic Center Dr. for its first meeting back after the summer break.

The board is expected to consider the following items:

• The Board will hear a presentation on the State Education Budget for 2011-12 and the impact it will have on the Scotts Valley Unified School District Budget.
• The Board will adopt the Collective Bargaining Agreement for the Scotts Valley Education Association’s contracts spanning 2011-12 through 2013-14.

The district’s next board of trustees meeting will be at 6 p.m. Sept. 13.
