
Police arrested a Scotts Valley man Wednesday night on suspicion of robbing a woman outside an ATM machine.
At approximately 2:15 p.m., officers received multiple calls reporting a robbery that had occurred at an ATM outside of a Wells Fargo, located at 100 Kings Village Road, according to police. Officers learned a male suspect robbed a woman, just after she had taken out money from an ATM, police said.
The victim received minor injuries while trying to prevent the suspect from robbing her, according to police. After speaking with witnesses and collecting evidence from the scene, police were able to identify the suspect as 22-year-old Gary Meeks.

Around 6:30 p.m. that evening, officers located Meeks at a local residence and arrested him on suspicion of robbery, police said.
