1. Beach accessibility mat installed at First Street in Seal Beach (lwweekly.com) — Seal Beach has added a third beach accessibility mat at First Street, making it easier for wheelchair users, people with mobility challenges, and families with strollers to reach the shoreline. 2. Bands can apply for GRF-sponsored weekend dance slots (lwweekly.com) — Leisure World Seal Beach residents can look forward to more free live weekend dances as GRF adds new Saturday night slots in Clubhouse 1. Bands are invited to apply by Sept. 12 for a nine-month trial, with top crowd-pleasers earning paid contracts starting July 2027 and support from GRF in booking and promotion.
3. CalOptima Health expands Street Medicine Program across coastal Orange County (newsantaana.com) — Seal Beach will be part of a new multi-city Street Medicine expansion bringing mobile medical, mental health, and housing-navigation services directly to unhoused residents across coastal Orange County starting in mid-2027. 4. Coast Guard Helicopter, Local Agencies Rescue Man Near Long Beach (aero-news.net) — A 53-year-old man was rescued alive about three miles south of the Seal Beach Pier after drifting overnight in the ocean, thanks to a Coast Guard helicopter search south of Seal Beach.
