Man Dies In Shooting At Westfield Fashion Square Mall

UPDATED AT 1:36 P.M. SHERMAN OAKS, CA — Police are investigating the shooting death of a man in a parking structure at the Westfield Fashion Square mall in Sherman Oaks Monday. The shooting is being investigated as a possible suicide, a coroner's official said.

The person was killed shortly before noon, according to the Los Angeles Police department. The name of the man, who was in his 60s, was being withheld pending notification of his relatives, said coroner's Assistant Chief Ed Winter.

The shooting happened in the 14000 block of Riverside Drive and was reported about 11:25 a.m., said Los Angeles police Officer Tony Im.

No arrests were reported.
