The St. Francis de Sales Choir and Wagner Ensemble, under the direction of Jeannine Wagner, are proud to present a rare performance of Mass in E Flat D. 950 by Franz Schubert, with full orchestra and soloists. St. Francis de Sales Organist Stephen Park will perform Sortie from Denis Bedard's Messe for Organ.
The concert will take place in the St. Francis de Sales Church sanctuary, renowned for its beautiful mid-century architecture and acoustic excellence. Reception will immediately follow in the St. Francis de Sales School Auditorium.
Founded in 1949, the St. Francis de Sales Choir is one of the leading church choral groups in Southern California. Throughout the years, choir membership has included singers from the parish as well as vocalists from the Los Angeles Opera, Wagner Ensemble, Los Angeles Master Chorale, and Independent Opera Company. The choir is accompanied by noted organist Stephen Park, who has been with St. Francis de Sales since 1979.

The Wagner Ensemble was founded by Jeannine Wagner in 1991 under the auspices of the Roger Wagner Choral Institute. Under her spirited guidance, the Ensemble celebrates and promotes the musical legacy of her late father, the legendary Roger Wagner. The Wagner Ensemble has dazzled audiences throughout Southern California and internationally in the performance of repertoire that includes choral masterpieces spanning the centuries from the Renaissance to the present.
