SHERMAN OAKS, CA — A house in Sherman Oaks underwent some unwanted demolition overnight when a vehicle crashed into it, sending a passenger to a hospital but injuring no one inside.
The crash was reported at about 11:30 p.m. Tuesday in the 15000 block of West Marble Drive, south of Ventura Boulevard, according to a videographer who responded to the scene.
The driver was uninjured, but a passenger in the car sustained unspecified injuries and was taken to a hospital.
The crash opened a large hole into the home's kitchen area, which was visible from outside after crews pulled the vehicle out of the house.
It was not immediately clear if the home remained habitable following the crash.
