Assault Suspect Barricades Himself In Sherman Oaks Home
An assault suspect held the Los Angeles Police Department SWAT Team at Bay while holed up in a Sherman Oaks home Wednesday.
SHERMAN OAKS, CA — A standoff in Sherman Oaks ended peacefully Wednesday night with an assault suspect in custody.
A man barricaded himself inside a home in the 3900 block of Hopevale Drive Wednesday afternoon when police responded to a report that he assaulted a woman. The Los Angeles SWAT Team surrounded the home, and the suspect was taken into custody before 9 p.m., Wednesday, according to Los Angeles Police Department Officer Tony Im.
