Brush Fire Scorches Sepulveda Basin
A small brush fire in the Sepulveda Basin was under investigation Tuesday.
LOS ANGELES, CA — A small grass fire scorched less than an acre in the Sepulveda Basin, but Los Angeles firefighters quickly doused the flames.
The fire broke out at about at 3:35 p.m. in the 6200 block of North Woodley Avenue, near Burbank Boulevard, in the Sepulveda Basin Recreation Area, according to Nicholas Prange of the Los Angeles Fire Department.
Eighteen firefighters extinguished the blaze in about 26 minutes, he said. Crews were able to hold the fire to less than an acre.

The cause of the fire was not released.
