California Virtual Academy@ Los Angeles is Now Enrolling for the 2015-2016 School Year
The full-time, online, tuition-free charter school is now enrolling Los Angeles County students in grades K-12.
California Virtual Academy@ Los Angeles, a full-time, online, tuition-free charter school for students in grades K-12 who reside in Los Angeles and Ventura Counties, is now accepting applications for the 2015-2016 school year. California Virtual Academy@ Los Angeles students receive individualized, effective instruction both online and offline with California-credentialed teachers through a mastery-based curriculum.
A fully-accredited school, California Virtual Academy@ Los Angeles offers core subjects, AP classes, electives and a robust advanced learner program, as well as subjects that are no longer offered in many other programs, such as art, music, and world languages. Students enjoy an active school community and frequent opportunities for socialization including clubs, community-based volunteer projects, and field trips. All of the school supplies that students need for the school year, including textbooks, science materials, art supplies and more are mailed directly to students.
California Virtual Academy@ Los Angeles also offers a unique program called Community Day that combines the best of online learning with weekly face-to-face interaction among teachers, parents and students. There are four Community Day locations in the Los Angeles area. Students receive instruction from California Virtual Academy@ Los Angeles teachers in Math and Language Arts and participate in various other educational activities, such as PE and science fairs, while parents receive support and network with other parents.
