Sometimes I just get impressed with a neighborhood and have to talk about it.
This time it is the Condo/Townhouse complex called Chandler Park Village located
around Chandler and Van Nuys. There are three addresses that make up the complex
5420 Sylmar Ave, 5455 Sylmar Ave and 14347 Albers Ave.

Chandler Park Village is an oasis in Sherman Oaks. Behind the gates on Sylmar
is a beautifully manicured courtyard, pools, spa, clubhouse facilities and more.
There is an obvious pride of ownership which says a lot for the HOA.

Chandler Park Village is a two hundred and fourteen unit condominium and
townhome development designed by Johannes Van Tilburg and built by Emory
Schwartz in 1988. The complex boasts 2 and 3 Bedroom Townhouse Floor Plans with
Attached 2 Car Garages. There are also Condos in 2 and 3 bedroom Floor Plans, some with lofts.

An interesting fact I came across was that in 1978 when Emory Schwartz bought
the 7 acres that is now the site of Chandler Park Village there were 18
apartment buildings there that were relatively new so instead of knocking them
all down Schwartz moved six of them to North Hills.

Chandler Park Village in Sherman Oaks is located close to freeways, transportation and shopping.
