Crash Sends Car Plowing Into Sherman Oaks Home, Injuring 2

SHERMAN OAKS, CA — A two-car crash sent one car plowing into a Sherman Oaks home Thursday morning, injuring two women, according to the Los Angeles Fire Department.

The crash happened at 8:07 a.m. in the 13700 block of La Maida Street, said Los Angeles Fire Department spokesman Brian Humphrey. The two injured women, the drivers in the crash, were taken to the hospital with minor injuries.

According to the preliminary investigation, an SUV and a car occupied only by their drivers collided at an intersection, and the SUV then hit a house at the corner of La Maida Street and Woodman Avenue, the LAFD reported.

Building inspectors were summoned to determine if the house was safe to inhabit.
