Crews Douse Sherman Oaks Brushfire

A brush fire that broke out in Sherman Oaks Friday had little chance to do damage as firefighters quickly smothered the blaze.

SHERMAN OAKS, CA — Firefighters quickly extinguished a brush fire Friday in Sherman Oaks.

The Los Angeles Fire Department responded at 3:20 p.m. to 14587 Round Valley Drive, where brush and trees were on fire near the rear of a home.

About 50 firefighters extinguished the fire in about 20 minutes. No injuries were reported.
